Job Description

Are you an experienced COBOL developer looking to work in a flexible, remote-friendly environment? Join our team at PDMI, where you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support our internal and external processes.

Since 1984, PDMI has provided pharmacy data processing and other flexible, scalable solutions to help our clients meet their business objectives. We offer transparent, pass-through pharmacy processing and other services for private label Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), vertically integrated health plans and hospital systems. In addition to Pharmacy Benefit Administrative Services, we offer 340B Administration, Hospice and Long-Term Care Services.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze user needs and translate them into effective programming solutions
  • Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications according to company standards
  • Debug applications and ensure software quality through rigorous testing
  • Document processes and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system functionality
  • Troubleshoot and support internal teams and external customers

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on COBOL development experience
  • Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft Office
  • Bonus if you've worked with TortoiseGit, Slick Edit, Jira, Thunder Suite, or JSON viewer/formatter
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
