About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Bookkeeper to
join our growing real estate brokerage. This role is more than just bookkeeping – it requires a
proactive, adaptable professional who can balance financial accuracy with customer
interaction, assisting our agents and vendors with financial matters while ensuring smooth
operational transitions.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates
effectively, and has the patience to support a major accounting software transition. You’ll
be working directly with leadership, taking ownership of key financial functions while helping the
team navigate from our current system to QuickBooks.
Requirements
● Maintain accurate weekly reconciliations and ensure books are closed on a weekly and monthly basis .
● Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports , including projections and forecasting.
● Oversee billing, payments, and vendor transactions to ensure timely processing.
● Monitor and process agent commission payments and related financial support.
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
● Assist in transitioning financial data from the current system (LoneWolf) to QuickBooks.
● Work closely with the external transition support team to ensure a smooth migration .
● Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and suggest improvements.
● Act as a financial liaison for agents , answering questions and resolving payment issues.
● Provide empathetic and responsive support to agents regarding commissions and financial concerns.
● Foster a positive relationship with agents, ensuring they feel supported in their financial matters.
● 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferably in real estate, brokerage, or a similar industry).
● Proficiency in QuickBooks (prior experience in software transitions is a plus).
● Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools).
● Strong understanding of reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting .
● Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership.
● Patience and adaptability to support a software transition and evolving financial processes.
● Excellent customer service skills – ability to provide empathetic and professional financial support to agents.
● Experience in real estate brokerage bookkeeping (preferred but not required).
● Familiarity with commission-based payment structures .
● Bilingual skills are a plus.
