As a leading manufacturer of commercial skin care products in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kutol Products Company is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. We are seeking a dynamic, creative Director of Research, Development & Innovation to chart the path of Kutol’s innovation journey.

This position is responsible for setting RD&I strategy, overseeing our new product development lifecycle, and leading key technical initiatives. It demands strategic thinking to align hygiene science with business objectives, a solid background in chemistry and product development, and a passion for addressing customer challenges.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute the RD&I strategy in alignment with business goals
• Create new products from concept to commercialization, including formulations, dispensers, and packaging
• Ensure current product line and new products meet stakeholder and market needs, regulatory requirements, and sustainability standards
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to foster successful product launches
• Explore and identify innovative technologies, ingredients, and trends in the industry
• Ensure product excellence and compliance with regulatory, safety and processing requirements
• Manage the RD&I department’s spend, policies, testing requirements and procedures
• Manage research projects
• Monitor and evaluate product performance and customer feedback

Requirements

Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biological Medical Science preferred

10+ years’ experience related to R&D of products for topical use on the skin such as cosmetic and OTC soaps, sanitizers, lotions, creams, etc.

5+ years in a leadership role within the consumer or industrial goods industry

B2B experience preferred, B2C is acceptable

Knowledge of functionality testing procedures and analytical data extrapolation

Passion for public health
