Qualifications:

Required:

• High School graduate or equivalent with vocational or trade school training in electricity, mathematics and blueprint reading.
• One to three years demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance of public buildings and safety codes.
• Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver s License.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem
• Days

Essential Functions:

• Maintains electrical equipment, wiring and installation in a safe operating condition making necessary inspections and repairs in a technically approved and efficient manner.
• Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

• Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments such as damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas
• Dismantles electrical machinery, replaces defective mechanical parts and reassembles
• Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal communication and power circuits and equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment
