### Key Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Accountant Admin Supervisor, you will play a critical role in payroll management, compliance, and financial reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing Bi-Weekly Payroll: Manage payroll for household employers and internal employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Managing Payroll Transactions: Oversee payroll-related banking, tax deductions, and garnishments.
- Maintaining Payroll Data: Ensure employee information is accurately entered, updated, and managed in the payroll system.
- Timekeeping System Oversight: Maintain and enhance the time tracking system to facilitate smooth payroll processing.
- Payroll Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Ensuring Tax Compliance: Process state, federal, and local tax filings and payments, including W-2 and 1099 distributions.
- Staying Current on Payroll Laws: Monitor and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Collaboration with HR: Work closely with HR to verify employee data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date payroll records.
- Supervising Administrative Assistant: Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Month-End Financials: Prepare and present financial statements to senior leadership teams.
### Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of payroll accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years managing multi-state payroll.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and payroll software systems.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and system enhancements.
### Work Structure:
- Hybrid position: Minimum of three days in-office per week.
